Chamberlayne Athletic Football Club was established in 1996. In the 12 years the club has been around, alot has changed and happened in the club. Chamberlayne Athletic is not the most succesful or biggest club in the Southampton area, however the club is striving for a more succesfull future and expanding all the time.

At the beginning of the 2006/2007 season Chamberlayne Athletic introduced a Men's team and also a Men's Reserve team for 2008/2009 season. Players were getting older, alot seemed to be moving onto bigger clubs that had a Men's side, it is therefore the reason the committee decided to develop not only in the youth sections but needed a Men's section to provide a future for those youths that wish to stay at the club.

Over the next few years it is the aim of the club to have more teams at youth level and the possibility of expanding the Men's section with a Saturday Team. Chamberlayne Athletic was awarded the Charter Standard mark in March 2007.
